I'm very disappointed with the way the Deerfly run/walk turned out. My wife entered the event with the intention of walking the 10 k portion of the race. She finished the event in 2 hours 25 min. only to finish the event that was already disassemble and only a few people left there. Someone came around and picked her number up off her on the trail and drove away. She still finished the race with out a number. While I was waiting for her to finish, I over heard your course workers complaining about having to wait for 2 people who are walking to finish the race! I'M VERY DIAPOINTED!!!!! My wife was very upset with the way it turned out. By the way my wife has a bad heart /brain tumor and a autoimmune disease. A year ago she could barely walk a mile. Thanks for taking her chance away to finish a run / walk with an actual finish line. Thanks for nothing!! We will not be participating in any more Winona forest functions!
