Stone Wall Race Update
TO THE POINT The Stone Wall Snowshoe Race has been RESCHEDULED for Saturday February 4. All other details will remain the same. Please note, the original date was a Sunday, now it is a Saturday.  
ELABORATION I have reached out to a number of you to gauge your feelings about the current conditions. I am hearing a common theme (and I am paraphrasing here…) this is one of our favorite events of the year, on one of our favorite courses. We would rather have the REAL Stone Wall, instead of a trail race on a modified course. Can we try again at a later date?  This week, despite the rain/snow forecast, we have received nothing but large amounts of rain. There is currently no snow on the event course, and in many places, a slick layer of ice. With only a few inches of snow in the forecast, significant course modifications would be necessary, with a likely outcome of a sketchy trail run.   The Good News - The ¼ zip fleece will be in and will be handed out on the rescheduled date.  Let’s hope to have a return to winter, so we are able to celebrate at this very special snowshoe event.
