3. ENSURE WE GET ESTABLISHED A JOINT EFFORT WITH OSWEGO COUNTY CLUBS AND WITH LORRAINES NYTRO CLUB TO JOIN TRAIL SYSTEM.
4, DISCUSS GOALS AND TRAIL WORK FOR THIS YEAR.
5, GET INPUT AND ASSISTANCE ON A ATV POKER RUN FOR OUR AREA.
6. DISCUSS POSSIBILITY OF AN ATV WEIGHT PULL.

LET ALL THAT KNOW OF ALL THE WORK AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS THAT WE MADE LAST YEAR SO AS WE CAN BUILD WFRA'S ATV MEMBERS. THANKS TO ALL The DEC has opened Wart Rd & a section of Hessel Rd from Wart Rd to Brown Rd Extention for ATV use. The only trails that are open are those that are signed "Open for ATV use" with a speed limit sign under them. PLEASE ride the ATV trail system only and not any of the other trails. Riding Non-ATV Trails could jeopardize what we have worked so hard to get open. A special thanks to all that have assisted with this trail system, particularly the Towns of Lorraine & Boyston; Jefferson County Soil and Water; Scott Burto, Jefferson County Trail Co-ordinator; DEC and DEC Regional Director, Judy Drabicki. NOW THAT WE HAVE A TRAIL SYSTEM LETS GET OUR MEMBERSHIPS IN or RENEWED LETS RECRUIT OUR FRIENDS & BUILD OUR STRENGTH WITH MEMBERS SO THAT WE CAN MAINTAIN AND EXPAND OUR TRAIL SYSTEM MEMBERSHIP ONLY $25.00 per year. County and Town trails / roads that are open for ATV use in the Winona Forest area are as follows: Wart Rd Brown Rd in town of Lorraine, off Cty Rte 90, Hessel Rd from Wart to Brown Rd Ext Brown Rd extension from Hessel Rd to Cty Rte 90 Two loops on county reforestation property off Brown Rd Extension to Cty rte 90, Kate Hall Rd from Dixon Rd parking area to Brown Rd, Marsh Rd in town of Lorraine, Bishop Rd in town of Lorraine, Sharp Rd in town of Lorraine, Gold Spike north from bridge on Cty Rte 90 into town of Lorraine system. NOTE: Hawley, Tucker, Bargey and the lower section of Hessel to Brown Rd Ext. remain closed to ATV traffic Remember machines must be registered, insured and helmets worn. All side by sides must be legally registered as an ATV. Speed limit is 25 mph. Ride with care and ride legal trail system only! Be aware of regulations for riding during hunting season. No riding on the trail system once the trails have been groomed for winter activities. Be courteous to others. Lets not destroy what we have worked so hard to accomplish. The image we set forth & the public sees is what makes or breaks our efforts to have a legal usable ATV trail system. Be responsible and look to better the public view of the ATV community.
