Conditions and Grooming in the Winona Forest

Current temperature 39 degrees and light rain falling.
Well all good things must come to an end. As of this date all grooming operations within Winona Forest are done for the season.
Although it is not illegal to ride on the snowmobile trails within Winona Forest, it is tresspass to cross any private lands, and all riding is totally at your own risk.
Anytime after April 1st local towns begin their normal maintenance of the seasonal roads, which may include clearing any remaining snow.
Grooming of snowmobile trails within Winona Forest, as is with almost every snowmobile club in the state, is done totally with volunteers. Each year clubs spend virtually hundreds of hours grooming these trails. Please take a moment and let these clubs know what you thought of their efforts.

WFRA is a volunteer organization.
Many volunteer hours are donated to make this club possible for snowmobilers, skiers, mushers, ATV's, hunters, campers, walkers, horseback riders and even birdwatchers ! Funding is generated largely by memberships, contributions, fundraisers & state grants. Our trail maintenence crew spends countless hours keeping the Winona Forest trails & recreation areas groomed for you!
