Cross-Country Skiing
Winona Forest is home to more than 50 miles of groomed, track set trails, glades, woods and scenic views. The forest is a favorite place of cross-country skiers, of all ages and levels of expertise. The woodlands are home to many different species of trees and wildlife, with streams and activities during all seasons. You may even spot a beaver pond as you meander through the woods of spruce, fir and hardwoods. Our trail grooming system and volunteer groomers create an optimal experience for not only skiers, but snowshoe hikers and runners, snowmobile enthusiasts, and mushers.
